There are several methods which could be used to take advantage of solar hot water collectors to heat the water in your swimming pool.  One approach is to design a system to heat your house in the winter, and use the same collectors to heat your pool during the summer.  This arrangement would increase the enjoyment of your pool, and reduce the use of conventional fuel for heating your home.

A simpler approach is to use solar hot water collectors to heat the pool during the swimming season, and winterize the solar equipment when the pool is winterized.  The number of collectors needed is based on the surface area of the pool.  A calculation will be completed after your pool dimensions are provided.  You will also be alerted to several precautions concerning the collectors and pool water chemicals and pH, as well as winterizing hints.
